The same would obviously also have to apply in regard to all those US states in which the 18 age law doesn't apply either.Although even there I wouldn't be at all surprised if the idea is still applied on a discriminatory basis,just like it's getting to be here,in which under 18 same or close age relationships are considered as being ok and in which the idea of teenaged girls,( supposedly ),not being old enough to know what they are doing,conveniently then doesn't apply.
Seems to me Helena that you're just applying stereotypical double standards in which all OM/YW relationships are seen as the naive young girl falling for an older bloke for whatever reason.But love doesn't seem possible as being one of them,in your view.When in reality every relationship is different and needs to be judged on it's own merits.
I think the marriage between Prince Charles and Dianna Spencer fits your description better than the ones between Joe and Nicola Philpot or Clive and Jess Richards.Ironically it would have been the latter two examples that resulted in those blokes going to jail and the former being seen as ok in your views and if the US 18 age laws applied here.
So exactly what evidence are you relying on Helena,having obviously set yourself up as judge and jury,to be able to make any case that I'm looking for an entrapped slave, instead of a wife just the same as Joe Philpot and Clive Richards,amongst others,have obviously found.
The fact is as I've said plenty of times the US 18 rule is just bull that stands in the way of,what could be,many potentially successful age gap relationships if under 18 girls were allowed to date freely on dating sites like this one.
