Searching I think it's all probably part of the same modern day propaganda which would stop a western girl from thinking seriously about a very large age gap relationship even if she wanted one.Things have obviously changed massively from the days when a same sex couple would have been jailed but it was legal and socially acceptable for much older blokes to marry a much younger teenaged girl.The issue really comes down to what has changed and why and what are the real reasons for such a massive shift in social values ??.I think a lot of the problem stems from the recognition in western countries that we have a big problem with the numbers of males relative to females and that governments are trying to protect the younger generation of males from competion with older men for the available women.However single older men who've been left on the shelf when they were younger,partly/mostly by that same shortage of available single women,are suffering unjustly by such a policy.The propaganda against western men trying to circumvent this policy by looking to South East Asia for a young wife among the larger amounts of young single women there just seems to be unjustly adding to that suffering.But I have to disagree with your idea that the numbers of genuine girls,looking for a potential older western husband,in those South East Asian countries,outweighs the numbers of those just looking for a material advantage in their lives by them taking advantage of that suffering being endured by single western men.
