More and more women choose to date men 20 years older these days.

Yet, in fact, this is a dating phenomenon that has been around for a great number of years. Younger women often feel that older men, especially those 20 years older, are more likely to have established a good career. So they would be financially secure and don't worry about the necessities of life—clothes, accessories, and, perhaps, frequent travel.

Older men will certainly be more experienced and can “be there” for their younger women when they need them—they will also have a better understanding of women through life experiences, be tolerant, and know more about women's wants and needs.

Dating a man in his 40s or 50s can be beneficial to a younger woman, as she will gain life experiences she may never have been able to get; perhaps learning from the older man or even studying something related to his profession.

With the rapid development of social media and other technologies, both parties have excellent access to information and knowledge, for example, current trends and fashions, which may lead to shared interests. Thus the mindset of a man in his 50’s nowadays can relate to a 30-year-old woman more easily.
