I am a very respected and well known Intuitive,, I see future events for others [not myself] with an accurusy rate of around  97% according to feedback. Free will usually [choices] can very often lead people to their fate. I once did a reading for someone and warned her not to let her Son drive anything, Everything had been preventing him from driving, his truck had broken down, It had rolled into the water, But he took no notice of the warning, fixed his truck got in it drove 5 miles lost control and was killed. Free will led him to his Fate. I know this is a bit gruesome but I have many many Happy predictions too, and if HPD thinks this is BS I have literaly hundreds of letters and cards from people telling me my prediction came true.                                            But some ill fated things can be prevented by making a different choice.                                  GREAT BLOG CLAUDIA>

HPD if you're right then there would have been no casualties in any of the wars over the years. It wasn't free will that they got conscripted in many cases and when they went out to fight it was just a case of either a bullet or whatever had their name on it or they got home without a scratch. Fate isn't just related to good luck because it can be the total opposite whereas free will is just a case of hoping that our fate will be one of good luck not bad. We've only got control over our free will not fate.In the case of dating it's a case of free will in who we ask out but it's a case of fate as to wether the other person says yes and then wether it all works out in the long term because one person alone can't make the destiny of a relationship that involves two.

Quoting helena2006:

HPD I do not see that fate and luck are the same, even based upon definition.  Fate is allegedly predetermined and luck is something that you have a choice in.  I suppose the latter has something to do with the notion of nothing ventured, nothing gained as in choosing, gambling etc.  Either way i concur that all should live life to the fullest without any givens, you have to go get them.

In my mind, fate and luck are horrible 4-letter words. They're negative connotations that have absolutely nothing to do with choice. Both words imply that I have no control over my pre- and post- destinies. The word "luck" should be abandoned from the self-sustaining individual's vocabulary, just like "should" or "can't" or "religion" or "god."

To me they're the same thing. Fate=whatever happens, happens. Free will=whatever happens, happens. Most people I talk to believe that fate is related to luck, i.e. some beautiful unknown destiny awaits. That's crap. You go out and you create your OWN free will/fate.

Fate always wins every time in a competition between free will and what it has planned.
