What a great invention! And the people who do it best are the Irish. out of all the kinds that I have had, my top 3 come from the emerald of the sea. 1) Middleton Rare 2) Tullamore Dew 3) 18yr Jameson And no, I do not drink my whiskey by taking shots. That is a total waste and an insult to the people who crafted it. When the week has been rough, one of the best things to get relaxed is to sip on a few ounces of the good stuff and light up a nice cigar!

Jamieson is nice, NG, and I agree....taking shots is a waste of good liquor. That's for people who wanna get drunk fast, and a connoisseur sips...although an occasional shot of Patron or Grey Goose isn't out of the question....LOL I don't drink the high alcohol content variety often, but my poison is Bombay Sapphire, via martini. Otherwise, it's wine...usually a decent shiraz or chardonnay. Cheers!

I have seen people change when they drink certain things. I don't drink to get drunk. I normally go out and set a limit for myself and stick to it. Lucky for me though, if I do start getting half in the wrapper, it just makes me laugh and joke around more.

It takes a certain kind of person that can handle their drink, I have known quite a few Whiskey drinkers that are best avoided when they have been taking the shots of the Golden fluid. So I think your method of sipping it is better.
