Everyone has a favourite 'type'. If a woman favours Goths and pretty longhairs, then men in those categories will always catch her eye.
Many longhaired or braided men find that older women are repelled by their appearance, preferring the clean-cut type. Horses for courses.
I know what I like, and so, I'm sure, do you. It is not a hard and fast preference but it is a marked one.
You expressed my feelings/tastes perfectly as well, Mithrilmoon.
The saying "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" is quite acurate.
I loved men with long, well kept hair back in the 60's/70's. That is a preference that has never changed but I do know many women my age that look askance at men with "nicer" hair than theirs!
Compatible intelligence, wit, ethics are such important elements to a relationship but to have that wrapped in a visually pleasing package can be a "make or break" issue.
Thank you for this excellent forum.
