FIRST DATE IDEAS FROM MEMBERS

Hi, we are here to get to know each other, and to that end, I think the first date should be less about the venue and more about each other. I prefer being somewhere where we can talk in a relaxed manner, without having loud noise or other nearby tables. So, we grab a tasty beverage and stroll down to the lake, find a bench and sit and chat, or walk and talk, or both! Maybe grab a treat or a snack as part of the fun.

For a first date, I'd keep it simple and relaxed. Maybe a coffee, lunch somewhere nice, a scenic drive or a walk along the beach. Somewhere we can chat, have a laugh, get to know each other and see if there's a spark. No pressure, just good company and seeing where the day takes us.

I’m not big on fancy first dates. I’d rather find a nice little restaurant, get something good to eat, and see how we get along when we’re actually sitting across from each other. Somewhere we can hear each other talk would be nice. There might be a few awkward moments at first, but that’s alright. Hopefully we’ll be laughing about something stupid before long, and I’ll probably start giving you a little crap once I get comfortable. If we’re having a good time, I’m not going to be watching the clock. Maybe we grab a coffee afterward, take a walk, or just find somewhere to keep talking. No need to plan every minute. One thing though, dancing probably isn’t a good idea. I’ve got two left feet, and if you ever see me on a dance floor, you’ll probably think I’m having a seizure. So unless you’re willing to risk the embarrassment, we might want to save that for another time. If you’ve got a favorite little place you’d like to show me, I’m all for it. Might even let you pick dessert, although I’m probably going to steal a bite. And I don’t mind making the drive to meet you. A few extra miles aren’t going to stop me from meeting a woman I’m genuinely interested in. Mostly, I just want us to relax, laugh a little, and see if we click. If neither of us is quite ready to say goodbye when the night’s over, I’d say we had a pretty damn good first date.

A little friendly competition, followed by a nice relaxed meal and walk on the beach or park to get to know each other. Good Conversation, a little flirting and lots of laughs.

I would love to have a coffee or light lunch that is casual where we can actually talk. And, if we are connecting, a nice walk through the park or nearby green space to enjoy the fresh air and more of each others company.

Dinner,good conversation. Then a nice evening walk thru a park watching the sun set. Next date would a movie of your choice then off to a club for dance a drink. Third date my place for a movie and cuddling.

Meeting for Coffee or Tea. No Pressure on either person. Casual Conversation. Finding out if we are willing to continue the conversation later or just able to sit in comfortable silence.

Have some dinner and go find some arts to explore. Go get some beach chairs and watch the waves roll in. See who each is.

A candlelit dinner sounds romantic until someone knocks the candle over, the napkin catches fire and someone tries throwing the flaming napkin off the table, knocking over a glass of wine, catching the tablecloth on fire which sets off the fire alarm and sprinklers and there's mass panic, people yelling and screaming, restaurant staff scrambling for the fire extinguisher while patrons call the fire department. Meanwhile, the fire's spread to the table and chairs, the carpet's on fire from the spilled wine and, you know, there's really no way to have a relaxing walk after all that. And that's why I don't drink.

Meet for a meal and maybe a drink or two, then take a walk and chat. Probably somewhere near the water.

Dinner at a nice restaurant in Port Macquarie town centre then a walk up the breakwall to the beach then a walk back into town.

omnivore! I love exploring and finding hidden gems of culinary quality deliciousness. Tacos, BbQ, food trucks, tiny old places…breakfasts! I have a tendency to devour ice cream and or chocolate!! But home cooking together is great!

My ideal first date is a cozy dinner in a comfortable booth, followed by a nice coffee shop. Good conversation, easy laughs, and a relaxed evening are the perfect way to get to know each other.

Coffee date first, to check the vibe, and then it depends on the person really..a trip to Barnes & Noble, a walk, an arcade, food truck dinner date, a comedy show. I wouldn't subject someone to a movie when they might want to have a conversation.

Casual dinner, low key, soft music, dark corner speakeasy type of place to have some great conversation and get to know each other. Hopefully in the future, staying at home with a fire, cocktails, music, cuddling and sweet talking.

Coffee shop downtown or any one of the bars or restaurant to eat and get to know each other better over something to eat or drink.

Scenic drives, beach, trying new restaurant, sunset watching and visit historic places, live music or outdoor concerts, weekend day trips, cooking class together, mini golf, bowling, hiking a scenic trail, go kart racing, trivia night, horseback riding and museums.

I'm a simple guy - so a first date idea to me is sitting down over a cup of coffee and just chatting and getting to know each other a little bit.

The First date is usually a “get to know you” type of situation. So we would have dinner somewhere we can have a good conversation and see if there’s a vibe.
