A first date for me always includes a sport....hiking/backpacking, skiing, biking, dancing, etc! That could include picnics... or returning home to cook a great meal together! Getting to know someone through some common interest appeals to me very much!

In the winter time, Kirkwood, Sugarbowl or Squaw Valley. The summer time, the coast or the mountains, or what ever floats your boat, just not a movie the first date. Cafe,a nice restaurant, the park, bike riding, walking the dog/s, et cetera. You got an idea, let's do that!

I wouldnt mind going to a golf driving range hit a few golf balls and finish off having a little playful putting competition on the practice green. After that a couple of appetizers at the clubhouse patio.

First dates should include an activity that will allow for conversation and connection. Attending a sports event like a baseball or basketball game would be nice. There are many opportunities for this type of outing if you think about little league games and school sports. It makes the game more enjoyable if you know one of the athletes. Money should never be an issue. There are many inexpensive ways to get to know each other.
