My ideal first date is something casual and interactive, like strolling through a farmers market, walking along a marina, or exploring a charming downtown area. I prefer getting to know someone while sharing an experience, laughing, and letting conversation flow naturally, rather than sitting across a table interviewing each other.

I’m not big on fancy first dates. I’d rather find a nice little restaurant, get something good to eat, and see how we get along when we’re actually sitting across from each other.
Somewhere we can hear each other talk would be nice. There might be a few awkward moments at first, but that’s alright. Hopefully we’ll be laughing about something stupid before long, and I’ll probably start giving you a little crap once I get comfortable.
If we’re having a good time, I’m not going to be watching the clock. Maybe we grab a coffee afterward, take a walk, or just find somewhere to keep talking. No need to plan every minute.
One thing though, dancing probably isn’t a good idea. I’ve got two left feet, and if you ever see me on a dance floor, you’ll probably think I’m having a seizure. So unless you’re willing to risk the embarrassment, we might want to save that for another time.
If you’ve got a favorite little place you’d like to show me, I’m all for it. Might even let you pick dessert, although I’m probably going to steal a bite.
And I don’t mind making the drive to meet you. A few extra miles aren’t going to stop me from meeting a woman I’m genuinely interested in.
Mostly, I just want us to relax, laugh a little, and see if we click. If neither of us is quite ready to say goodbye when the night’s over, I’d say we had a pretty damn good first date.

Anywhere in the greater Chattanooga area where we can create our own date, be it at a park or a shared cooking experience, a live concert or something completely random that just sounded fun in the moment!
But if you aren't in Tennessee, I am willing to come visit you, anywhere! All my classes are online, so I can literally work from the road.
So if you are not from Tennessee, be sure to tell me what you'd like to do if we meet up! I'm a pretty open minded individual who wants to share everything between my other half.

An ideal first date focuses on creating a low-pressure environment where conversation can flow naturally. The best settings are typically "activity-adjacent," meaning there is something to do or look at to break the silence, but not something so immersive that it prevents you from actually talking. A coffee shop, a walk through a botanical garden, or a visit to a quirky bookstore allows for an easy transition between focused conversation and shared observation.
The goal is to find a balance between engagement and exit. A date that is too formal, like a three-course dinner, can feel like an interrogation and leaves both people trapped if there is no chemistry. Instead, an ideal date has a flexible duration. Starting with something simple allows you to end the date after an hour if it isn't clicking, or seamlessly transition into a second activity, like a stroll or a drink, if the connection is strong.
Ultimately, the "ideal" part is less about the location and more about the atmosphere. It is a space where both people feel safe and comfortable enough to be authentic. When the activity is simple and the environment is relaxed, the focus remains on the chemistry and the conversation, which are the only things that truly matter when deciding if there should be a second date.

A scenic spot, amazing food, a little bit of adventure, yet intimate enough for us to get lost in deep conversation. I don’t need extravagance and fine dining if you know that’s not your style, those things has zero effect on me. I need pure intentions and a thoughtfully plan experiencence. Let me see your authentic self— no love bombing, no representative self.

Coffee and a slow park walk with my 6 dogs. We grab drinks, find a sunny bench, let the dogs say hi, and just talk. If we’re vibing we’ll get ice cream and wander the market. Low pressure, real laughs, and see if we click for round two.

I tell you what time to show up and where to park on the street with your engine running. As I show up dressed in black you hear alarm bells go off from the nearby bank, and I put a number of duffel bags and a full auto weapon in the back seat. I take off the balaclava and you realize it's me, I tell you to move over into the passenger seat and you readily let me drive. We drive to the coast and take a small boat to Matapalo, Costa Rica. We spend 2 weeks living on deserted beaches (assuming you have vacation time) and eat fresh, natural food daily at a local farm. And you forget to pack a bathing suit.

Well, I think there is still time this summer for a beautiful setting for dinner and end the night with a walk on the beach where we can sit and talk with maybe a glass of wine and a rose in your hand!!

The Subterranean Speakeasy
Because you're explicitly keeping things physical and light, avoid bright daytime dates. A dimly lit, underground speakeasy—think somewhere with the secretive vibe of Dockum downtown—sets an intimate, adult tone the second you walk in. You handle the logistics of getting the table and managing the evening, so she just has to show up, have a drink, and see if there's a spark.

I would like to meet at a local eatery first to make sure you are comfortable that I am who I say I am. When you are comfortable with me I’d like you to come to my place to get to know me and my girls.

Somewhere we can take a short walk, then dinner over candle-light. We are sitting together, close enough where I can inhale your cologne. Our words flow with ease. Sweet awkwardness excites the mood between us. Maybe we slow dance like no one is around.
