FIRST DATE IDEAS FROM MEMBERS

Something informal and casual......and out of the normall daily activity...something to look forward to and not be afraid of... Not go for a cup of coffee....That's more like a job interview...(Scary).and besides I can walk into a Tim Hortons and sit down with a dozen different people for coffee.....except I don't drink coffee.. Candle light romantic dinner...not for first date..again loaded with expectations and wrong timing. Here's an idea...make a small list of some things you would like to do but would like to do it with somebody...even if it's needing a date for a company function or girlfriends bbq I am the type of person who would simply contact a person and say "Hey...if you are available on this day would you like to accompany me to ________? " and I would also be comfortable with somebody doing the same in return... I am not offended if you were not available....and you should not be offended if I am not available...we all have busy work lives also... . So if you get to me before I get to you..don't be shy. Keep in mind my preferred match details..

The first date is about getting to know each other in person so meeting up for coffee is a good start. We can chat for awhile. If there is a connection, we can go for a stroll and/or keep the conversation going over dinner.

Many years of working inside all day has me at a point where I simply love to be outdoors. We would go and eat at a restaurant with an outside pavilion, so long as it isn't still 90+ degrees. Or, we would both bring food for a picnic and go to a park or to the beach. Somehow we would have music and it would be a time to talk and listen, and see if any chemistry exists between us.

My fisrt date idea's are: walk in the park, lunch/brunch, attending free shows arounf the Atlanta area. So either quest and then some will do.

I would love to have the romantic candle lights and gourmet diner with you and spend hours talking and admiring you for all of the time and energy you spent preparing for our date together. Then getting to drink our wine while my eyes gaze at your beauty. But in reality that would not be our real first date. It could be our third or fourth date, just not our first date. My first date with you would be a day long affair. Maybe going to lunch at a nice restaurant then take a walk together in a park or museum. This would help us in the awkward silence moments if we were to have any at all. This environment might even help us bring out more about ourselves. Then if the first date is going well maybe we would go a place you enjoy so I get to see how you are in your "comfortable environment". Then as a bonus, you might get to see how I am outside of my "normal environment". Let's be honest here, first dates are not usually a comfortable experience. Afterwards maybe we will stop and catch a movie that is playing. I would prefer a movie tavern more than a theatre just in case I choose to admire your beauty instead of watching the movie. The end of the date to me would be the most uncomfortable part. Do I kiss you goodbye or not? Did I hug you longer than I should have? Should I call you tonight or tomorrow? Do I send you flowers, if so what type? Yes ladies guys have these thoughts too but were afraid to admit them. See, if men do not admit to their emotions, they never happened! Lol

I think the best way for 2 people to see if they click is to spend a casual day together. Wine tasting or a day in the City. The destination isnt as important as having the time to talk and have fun. If everything goes well.....we have dinner, go dancing or listen to music.

Some of my first date ideas would be a picnic by a beach followed by a walk along the shore and talking about... well anything! I like canoeing so another idea would be to go canoeing. Or just a romantic candlelight dinner. :)

Let's meet on a Saturday and take a drive around to some of the smaller towns to check out the antique shops. We can talk while you drive. When we get hungry we can stop at a small town diner and enjoy a meal. A great way to get to know one another. You can buy me something nice from the antique shop and I'll buy lunch.

That would be what ever we both decide after all the male is suppose to be persuing the female.

Somewhere quiet but interesting where we could walk and talk and get to know each other, followed by dinner so the day would last longer. A stroll along a beach or the grounds of a stately home comes to mind.

First date could be a harley ride to a state park and dinner or dinner and walk around a museum.

Meet for Sunday Brunch Then go for a walk in the park or for an open air festival or art show.

I would meet at Starbuck's. I love coffee, even New Age, frou-frou coffee. We would be able to sit and talk for as long as we wished. If everything worked out to our expectations, we would choose a place and go to dinner and talk some more. When the date ended we would both know if this was the one or not.

GO OUT FOR DINNER OR JUST COFFEE AND A MOVIE. OR JUST GO TO A PARK SO WE COULD TALK

I have sat here for the past half hour trying to put down on here my idea of a first date and I cant. I have never really had a first date so Im pretty bad at this part of the profile part.
