I think it would be nice to go down to the beach and have a drink or two, listen to some music, then take a nice walk down the beach to talk and maybe if all is going well maybe we could hold hands :)

It's entirely dependent on the type of woman

dinner at a fine restaurant, followed by some dancing, could be a fancy place or just on the beach with a radio, or by the pool on a moon lit night. then maybe change and take a ride on the cycle and fined a place to watch the sun come up with some champaign and strawberries

all im really looking for is a cougar full of excitement and willing to have fun. someone that doesnt mind just staying home and cuddling and doing other bedroom activities. if you understand what i mean.

My ideal first date would be simply going out to dinner and talking honestly. No veiled come-ons, no sexual innuendos. Just talking about how you feel about life. I think a woman learns a lot about a man that way, if I wait and let my true feelings come out later, then I fill that I am misrepresenting myself and then I would wonder why things didn’t work out. I can learn a lot from the conversation also, if they get their brains out of the "I wonder if she is going to put out tonight" mode. I fill a lot of women aren’t up-front either but there are a lot out there like me "what you see is what you get" if that is not what you are looking for fine, we had a nice dinner and got to know each other before the relationship turned to sex and the woman is left feeling empty and used. But alway giving my deep respect to a woman like old school ethic is the way it should remain and be. I think a good first date doesn’t have to involve the typical "dinner and a movie". It’s important that the date include time to get to know each other (that is, talking/conversation time) and a movie just doesn’t lend that kind of time. Dinner is good but it can be a little formal. I think going for brunch and then doing something that you both of us enjoy (say, going to a museum or a carnival or going hiking, walking, bowling, etc).

I would base a first date on what I know about my girl If she bowls, we go bowling. . If she eats soul, we eat soul If she likes Italian, we eat Italian. If she likes sushi - we eat at McDonalds! lol

My first date would be a walk along the Portand waterfront, than some dinner and drinks downtown. Maybe a dance or two to show off my moves. Than drive home slow so we can talk more and plan date number two.

Wow, I don't know anymore... Been a long time since I actually dated. I was married, then in a long term relationship. I'm afraid any ideas I'd come up with might be cliche. I'd probably start with dinner, drinks (although I don't drink much, ESPECIALLY if I'm driving), and conversation. We really should be able to know who we're hangin' with. I'm personally too old to play games with anyone, so you'll get honesty (about myself, not gonna be a jerk with you). No BS.

To me a first date should be somewhere you can talk to each other like a nice dinner or a walk in the park. Movies and sporting events are great but not for a first date because you can't talk and get to know each other.

The first thing i would like to do is give each other a nice hug.From there we could deside what to do.It could be go grab something to eat or a fair or just set on the tailgate of my Dodge chating and looking at the stars...it really doesn't matter to me :)

Anything spontaneous. i love to just go somewhere and do something, whether it be snorkeling, dinner, a movie, hiking. Just so long as we can have time together to get to know each other.

Perfect first date for me is just to stay in and watch a film
