I think a first date should give a couple a chance to talk to each other, the place is less important.

Coffee or lunch are always good, or we can go boating or fly down to greater metropolitan Eloy for breakfast and to watch the ski divers swoop and soar in for a landing. How about a hike up Camelback Mt for a first date? I'm open to just about anything.

It wouldn't be called a "first date" but a meeting to get acquainted. Meet late morning or early afternoon at a coffee shop or cafe such as Panera Bread and talk till we run out of words. If we both are interested in getting together after that we could discuss it. No need to rush.
