I don't have any pre-set ideas about what to do, such as "walking on the beach". These all seem to be ideas that I think people get from romance novels or movies. I've seen this type of idea so many times, it hardly seems original; as if no real thought went into it. To be honest, I don't have an idea for a first date. I suppose the best idea would be to talk it over beforehand, or to just 'wing it'.
All those so-called romantic ideas seem so phony to me. And since I'm not writing a novel, the reality is that it should be an idea from BOTH of us, since the idea should be meant to benefit BOTH of us.

A first date should be an event - not just a date. I believe that a first date should start in the day time. Perhaps a drink at a fun and pleasant lounge or join some friends for an entertaining event. This provides an opportunity for both to determine if a longer time together is desired without being tortured with an evening of distasteful events seeking a way to dislodge oneself from the date.
If both are enjoying the time together, the evening would encompass dinner and an evening of exposing my date to whatever she has never done before. The first date should be a casual fun day followed by a romantic evening at a seaside establishment and than surprise after surprise. My date will experience an event, not just a date. Remember the world has much to offer and we would spend our time together finding everything available.
I could give a detailed description of the date which is what this section is about, but I believe one should experience life, not read about it, therefore I am going to keep the details a surprise, one that you will feel safe in, enjoy and never forget.
