My first date would be to meet at a public place for a soda or coffee where we can get to know each other and determine if we want to pursue a relationship.

Since we should somewhat know each other already via the emails, texts, calls we’ve already exchanged and had, no reason for our first meeting not to be low pressure, casual, relaxed and low budget.
We’d go, obviously, to a public place where you’d feel comfortable probably, I guess, in the afternoon, not evening. A place where we could talk, check out each other’s vibes, feel if and how our energies interact, mix and/or connect. It really doesn’t matter where specifically. The romance is in the moment.
At a park, coffee, walk, etc. No restaurants or bars, I don’t think. If we feel it, stay out longer if we want and take it from there. If we, one or the other doesn’t, just call it early. At least we tried.
My anticipation for our date would be great. I’d be excited and looking forward to it. Prepare to make sure I am at my best, and put my best self forward. Be relaxed, calm. Low key, no pressure, no stress. Expecting everything, being totally optimistic it will be monumental. While, at the same time, expecting nothing. Realizing the spark may just not be there.
So exciting, breathlessness, when we first actually see each other. Hopefully, each of us will look/seem as good, if not better than the mental, emotional pictures we have probably already created. If not, oh well, let’s contain any disappointment and try to be open to make this for whatever it may be as positive experience as possible, even if we decide to bag it early. And then move on, hope springing eternal.
