First dates are hard, I usually prefer going to a restaurant where it's busy and lively, so we don't feel awkward when meeting one on one. Plus, a full stomach is a happy stomach. :)

I think a great first date would be a nice dinner at a great restaurant in the company a fine young lady. Following dinner, we could take in a movie. I like comedies among other types.

First phone calls to make the arrangements and establish each other especially if we don't live near each other. I do have a cam to set up so we could make video calls. I would like lunch or dinner at a nice place so we could get to know each other then maybe arrange contacts for the next meeting.

Maybe meet for drinks and a chat then go on for dinner.Romantic walks in the countryside. Go to concerts or stay home for romantic dinner with wine candlelight and soft music.

A first meeting for a potential couple, I believe, should be a time for light topic but relevant conversation as an opportunity to get a sense of the chemistry that may or may not exists between them. I personally enjoy taking a walk in the park or sitting together in a cafe that is not too noisy (romantic is nice) for coffee or tea during the day or tea or wine for an evening first rendezvous. A second meeting would be a better time for a more fun oriented or adventurous date.

Let's meet for coffee or a drink and see if we click, if there's any chemistry. If we get that far, a great first date would be a nice Sunday brunch at National Harbor or the Georgetown waterfront, then afterwards we walk along the river or the C&O canal and talk about where to go next.

I'll meet you at Starbucks but I don't drink coffee. I eat out a lot so take me to your favorite place. I like to dance so if you're a couch potato, plan on getting off your butt and taking me out. I also like to travel so let's see where we can go.
