First dates should be a casual atmosphere with no pressure. A simple meet & greet at a local cafe or bistro to "get to know you" situation. If things go well then "you have the whole night ahead of you"

it depends on the woman and what she would like to do on the first date. I am always open to new ideas. But if it were up to me I would say go pick up a picnic basket of finger foods and hike into a remote area and have lunch or dinner and watch the sun go down. Talk and get to know each other better.
