i would like to meet for the first time at a coffee shop over a cuppa because it gives the both of us the chance to talk and ask the questions you feel you need to hear in person, not read off of a computer screen then we maybe be able to have a proper date.

Actually, I find that sharing emails first makes first meetings much easier and more fun. And if we decide not to meet, that's OK as well, as it saves time, and is a learning experience.

Since the first date should be about meeting and getting to know someone it should take place where we can talk and not be overly distracted. A nice place for lunch, with a quiet atmospere.
I'm not one to just pick a place without knowing what my date likes. So first let me know what you like and then we can deside on a place to meet?
Nice leasurly walks can be an easy way to talk and if we like hold hands and such.
