It's not about location or venue, but we need to be able to hear one another. A meal together, followed by a walk or coffee\drinks. Could be at a posh event or local watering hole. Not into movie dates for1st, as I'd rather get to know you.

For a first date I'm very traditional. I like to go to dinner and have good conversation and really get to know the person I'm with. I really think first impressions and getting to know someone and forming that bond really helps chemistry form. It also really helps with second date ideas.

No real opinion on this one. It seems like first dates these days frequently involves "meeting for a drink". I guess that way the initial commitment is minimal, which maybe isn't a bad thing for either person. A lot of my first dates have involved a nice restaurant somewhere so at least everyone gets a nice meal out of it. Like anyone else, I have had my share of less than perfect first dates, but only one or two that made me wish I had a trap door under my chair.
